Title: cb500 UK type wiring diagram
Post by: mickwinf on July 27, 2023, 02:22:25 PM
working on my 500 electrics and found the wiring diagrams are often american or europe types which have some differences. I have a handbook that has the correct UK diagram so i scanned it and printed it out to make it easier to read with my old eyes. If anyone needs it I can upload it or email for you to print out.

There are two for the CB500 Four UK, one for the K0 and the other for the K1. Which one do you have Mick ?

If it is in colour that would be a very useful item for when I do the electrics Mick.

If it has the separate switch it is the 500K1. I have a 1971 UK K0 wiring diagram with no separate switch  ;)

Mickwinf, why don't you identify your bike first? Compare the engine- and framenumber of yours with the numbers listed in the first 5 pages of each and every CB500 parts book. They're all here: https://www.honda4fun.com/materiale/documentazione-tecnica.
It's always a good starting point and you only have to do it once. As a bonus you will know the 'area code'.

Why do you always put on this link, when it is not for UK bikes. Look up 500 colours and no mention of black. And i have a lot more hand books, manuals and data on UK CB500 four K0 and K1  ;)

You ask why? With all due repect: I grab every occasion to point people where they themselves can find all info, not only now, but also later on. I see it as a good investment for all of us. It can save us a lot of avoidable questions and answers in the future. But maybe you're different and like to give answers. In that case, I've robbed you of an opportunity for which I have to apologise ofcourse. Let's hope that at least this answer was to your satisfaction. If not, I hereby apologise once more.  ;)

The all black tank (17500 323 000B) is listed in the parts list that covers K0 to K2, but strangely missed on the K0.

That is why it is false information as, the K2 was not sold UK and never came in Black  ;)
