Announcements / Re: 550 Keilin carburettors« on: October 26, 2023, 03:22:35 PM »Carb rubbers yes Paul, manifolds no. It's going from PD to 069a type that need the manifolds changed as the vac ports are on the body of the PD carbs, so you need to change to the earlier manifolds in order to get the vac ports, going the other way would just mean he'd have 2 sets of vac ports. So it depends if he wants it as it should be or just a bitsa. 48

Desperately Seeking!! / Re: 550 f air filter lid« on: October 26, 2023, 01:58:45 PM »I would if I could get it home for you, the cost is bonkers. If I can find one and it’ll fit in my long bag (chosen for its room for such items) I’ll gladly drag you one back. Drop me a pm with some part numbers etc and bike details and I’ll have a look. Did they even do them over in the US?Cant attach in PM 50
Desperately Seeking!! / Re: 550 f air filter lid« on: October 26, 2023, 12:12:34 PM »Nope but going over to the scrappers in a few weeks in North Carolina while I’m here, I’ll have a look for you but keep me posted if one turns up on the interim. What’s your budget in this? Bear in mind it’s made from ‘unobtainuum’ so probably north of £60 if I can find one for you. Let me know but I’ll put the feelers out there for you when I get there, just sitting in terminal 3 at LHR See if you can find me a right hand exhaust for a CD175 Sloper 51

They do clog up for fun though, especially with infrequent use
I changed mine but put the originals back on when I sold it. If you do change them then you need to change the manifolds and the carb rubbers as well. 53

Long shot I know, but does anyone or know of anyone with the RH exhaust for the above.
Bike finished apart from this. Would love to get the bike back on the road but can't without it. Going to try on the sites over the pond as well. Any help much appreciated. |
