Title: Front suspension CB550K3
Post by: Gromitdog on July 16, 2022, 09:31:24 AM
Good Morning all

I thought I found a set of complete K3 fork units but have turned out not to be what they said they where ....... :-[. But now I have a better idea of what I am looking for Every day a learning day...............

Q1 Would a Honda CB500T DOHC twin Fork Tubes Stanchions which are 574mm x 35 fit ok?

Q2 This is a chance in a million question but would any one have a set of front forks that they want to sell as spares / repair for a K3 please

Best Regards

Nigel

You will have to spend time on cmsnl looking up the part numbers for both model stanchions and sliders and comparing them.
The forks will physicaly fit but may well be a different length

You need 404 stanchions which are fitted to the 550K3 and 550F2. They are 570mm long so, 4mm is nothing.
Got a set of CB500T stanchions for a member once who fitted them to his CB550F2 with no problems. The 500T has the shorter bottom alloy case's  ;)
