Met the owner at DS event last year ... nice bloke .. said he was sending it to auction house. Told me at the time it was used for a film but I didn't realize until I read eBay listing description that they used a smaller bike with extra silencers lashed on , cos no actors were man enough to handle the 750.
Not from 1st January 1970 batch .... from 2nd batch ! 1st batch started 1010369 (Kettle738 bike) ... Mine is 1010382
Poor lash up of a four here:

Wow Ash that was scarey ,almost couldn't watch .
Wonder why they fitted a adv / ret lever to the left hand bars??
-
Ash, was that the guy you wanted to have some original carbs for it once??

No that was the guy with the Brighton Bike pre-prod.y prototype.

Speaking with Kettle 738 about it we both agree that bike will cost quite a bit to restore .. corroded rare rear guard .. seat need attention... no pipes etc. Still a rare bike though and early UK so should be very desirable once restored.

Got this back from Seller ...told you he seemed a decent chap.
"Hi Ashley.
Thank you for getting in touch, I do remember us talking. A good day.
Your obviously absolutely right.
Was this first batch imported from Canada making them Sand Cast?
Need to update my advert accordingly.
Would very much appreciate your input.
Kind regards
Kevin
(Already questioning whether I should be selling it, but I know I will not get around to rebuilding it)".

I invited the seller (Kevin) to join us on here an says he will. He is keen to follow the restoration that the buyer does on it.
Perhaps we can talk him into keeping it ! ;D

Side panel is a easy one. Parts like switch gear, top and bottom yoke, side and centre stand, and all the little bits are £££ ;)
I think it is over priced with the amount of work and parts missing or otherwise I would of already bought it.

Will be interesting to see if this sells.
I own the two UK bikes immediately either side of this - 1015278 and 1015280 (this is the one in between). So I know the VIN/Engine numbers are bang-on.
It will be an expensive bike to restore (£10k minimum I would say to do it properly). But could be a great project for someone.

How cool would that be, three consecutively numbered UK K0s in the same ownership. 8)

Lol tempting, but I have way too much on my plate at the moment.

;) you not looking for anymore UK bikes then james ;) i've probably got to much on my plate as well i rebuilt a engine last week final drive bearings collapsed and fitted it into the frame bike up and running now but they are not getting any easier that was a lot of work i think i'm getting to old for all this malarky ;) they are a lot easier to ride than fix i know

Seriously tempted, as the wife suggested only yesterday that I restore another barn find to create funds for restoring my old 911 - I decided to keep it and restore it to 100% condition, however there is hidden rot that will be £11k to sort out properly (funded by the sale of my CB750 K1), and then there is the engine top end, gearbox rebuild and suspension to do... It will end up being a (hopefully) £50k car that stands me at £50k, but hey, modern cars depreciate, apparently. And I love driving it, when its not in bits.
Unfortunately the thought of two deep money pits on the go at once is a bit too daunting. She doesn't realise that its one thing to restore them, another to part with them. No way my CL450 will be sold, I enjoy it too much.
Someone tell him that whether it came from Canada or not, it ain't a sandcast, the number is too high.

I messaged the seller on eBay - he’s aware of the discussion on here so is probably reading this :-).
Sounds like he’s holding onto the bike.
Kevin - if you’re reading this, come and join us on the forum and let us know your plans for the bike..
