CB500/550 / Re: 500 pilot light cord / bulbholder Part Number 37581-323-000

I'd imagine if they would reach to the clocks they'd reach to the bars. Might be easier to adapt a CB550 warning light panel bulb holder set. They'd be an extra indicator bulb but that should be easy to get rid of. Plus the wiring should be the same colours.

Appears to be identical to the clocks harness.

Wires would be different colours Phil.

What are they off, if replacements are available I’d agree with them. They both appear to have split along a seam. Top one looks like it’s also slid down the road at some point.

I would suggest the coil problem Ken was the connector that feeds the coils next to the coils, as soon as you disturbed it it started to work again and plugging new coils into that connector meant it was fine again.

The trouble is Roo the pics you're showing look like the rims are actually the right size, surely the tyres that came off them would tell you what the size is, unless of course you're referring to the width of the rim and not the rim size like 19 and 18" as they are supposed to be.

The new rims are nice, maybe the spokes you've already bought will fit them?

Oh and it was me saying you're being negative, it was a comment to say, don't look on the dark side, look at what you need to fix the problem, look at it as an opportunity, a chance to shine, to show that you're not defeated by a little set back. The initial post really did read like you'd been defeated by the problem and started to give up, that would be a shame and not the person I think you are.

Chin up mate.

The 4 warning lights are on the central panel between the clocks on the 550 Ted. Only the 750/500 got them across the bars like that.

CB350/400 / Re: HELP! Rear wheel damper/bush removal
« on: December 05, 2022, 07:42:01 PM »
For stuff like that I tend to use a small drill bit, drill in and then just go around the central bush until all the rubber is removed. Inner bush will then just fall out, then a small junior hacksaw and cut a groove in the outer shell until it just goes through, as soon as it does the shell will contract and fall out on it's own usually. Either way the bond will be broken and it should come out easily.

Both coils failing at the same time points more to a power supply problem than a coil one, probably a kill switch problem.
