Where does it say it’s got a replacement engine?
-
Should have an early ‘square case’ crankcase on a bike that early. I’ve had several early 500 K0’s and an engine range variance of 3000+ means it’s 99% likely to have had a replacement engine..

Ha!
I thought you'd managed to decipher the engine number on that crappy photo James!

Gotcha

My “square case” K0 is 2739 (engine) and 3240 (VIN) first registered on 1/4/71.
I wonder when they changed?

Has anyone informed the poster of the K0 on eBay about the engine?? Bill W.

Just done it, lets see what happens!

Got email message back saying yes it does appear to be a later engine, which we all here knew, but rekons its still good value.
-
Strange he didn't mention that in the add..
