CB750 / CB750 Scrambler Anyone?? :-)

Not quite sure how I stumbled across this one (all you sticklers for standard cb750's look away now....):

http://www.leboncoin.fr/motos/480410540.htm?ca=12_s

I like the general concept of a custom / scrambler style cb750, but have yet to see a really well executed one... What are your views?

Have exchanged a couple of texts. Will see - is a long way away to be buying high value stuff unseen. He says he's also got a new tank and seat. Makes me a little suspicious but might be genuine...?

Makes you wonder though how close to the asking price(s) he's actually getting?

Mind reader - was just about to post this. Total dreamer in my opinion. I sold my stunning unrestored '74 K4 two weeks ago for £5750.

No problem Bitsa. Wasn't intending to sound harsh, just having experienced other people jumping in on threads on another forum. Andy - entirely up to you if you want to get in touch you've got my details. James

Bitsa - would appreciate you not jumping in on this. I asked the question first - I think it's good etiquette to get in line mate.

Andy - will take the replicas if your selling them and dropped you a pm last night and this morning.

James,

Drop me a PM, I won't bore you with the long story, but I have ended with a genuine set and a replica set. I would actually like to keep the replica and sell the genuine as I'm no longer going for a full concours type restoration but am building a rider. But drop me a line If it's the replicas you wan't I'll probably go for it. One set has to go.

Andy.

Andy I've also sent you a pm.
