The key point here is that higher performance engines require a ‘colder’ plug to help disperse the resultant heat from combustion faster. The ceramic insulators on ‘colder’ plugs are generally smaller, allowing faster heat dispersion.

In the Denso terminology, the bigger the number the colder the plug. So an X-22 is a ‘hotter’ plug compared with the X-24 which is ‘colder’ in Denso terminology.
I agree James but with the nature of interpretation I describe the colder plug as having larger insulation for more dispersion in surface area from plug tip to plug wall and then onward to the cylinder head casting.

(Attachment Link)

It is a bit semantics though as so many describe in opposite direction as I've found over the years, champions I always have to reference the numbers as it just doesn't stick in my mind like NGK  :)
Fair point (late night post). What I probably should have referenced was the ‘gas pocket’ clearly shown in your pics above. In Denso speak ‘colder’ plugs generally have a larger gas pocket, and larger ceramic insulator / surface area, hence slower heat dispersion away from the plug (and vice versa).

If you want to go down the early K0/K1 style route, Yamiya sell a full fitting kit that will enable you to bolt on the smaller Stanley type indicators. Single wire setup will be fine - most people deactivate the running lights anway for UK use.:

Mine’s a J.
The V5 says 1st April 1971. That’s either a joke or lazy (default to 1st of the month).

I may have had a hand in that Steve

Yes, I was very interested in his life story. A really active guy with a very wide range of interests and hobbies.

The only thing I’m short of is a seat. F2 items seem to be incredibly illusive and I don’t want a copy. I have the original base and foam, I’ve even got someone lined up to refit it, but the base needs the skills of a good metal basher to reclaim it. It’s suffered from the usual ‘side stand’ rot.
Seaman I may have a decent F1 seat - will check next time I’m at my storage unit.

Got to say I disagree with that to some extent James. I'm not saying they aren't very good, I have 2 sets but one of the things I like about my Snap On screwdrivers was the ability to use a spanner to aid in twisting, if the Vessel Megadora had that little feature I'd 100% agree with you, odd they added it to the flat blade but not the JIS screwdrivers. Unfortunately the Snap On whilst having that nice little touch didn't do JIS screwdrivers when I was in the trade.

My Snap On screwdrivers are now over 40 odd years old and are still going great, I have one with a broken point, crosshead Number 2 but other than that they are still as good as new.
Fair comment Ken. I thought the Snapon screwdrivers were an order of magnitude more expensive (I could be wrong, I’m no professional).

My vessel Pozidrive set of screwdrivers have the Hex feature as well - 15 years of use and going strong, albeit I’m a part-timer.

Vessel megadora can’t be beaten in my opinion. They are simply awesome.

After a long conversation with Roo regarding leaving the site this Sunday I have been persuaded that it's better for everyone if I stayed. It may not please everyone but then you never can can you?

My staying though will mean I'll be posting far less, I won't be offering any advice unless specifically asked for it. I will be mainly concentrating on my own projects and some of my friends projects. Whether you find my posts informative or helpful is up to you, if you don't feel free not to comment.
I’m really pleased to hear this. Good decision Ken and glad you’re still going to be around on the forum.

Thanks...Found their FB page...bit of an "ouch"  price   100euros....oh well
Given the work that's gone into making them, it's a bargain in my opinion.

Mention my name James as he seemed happy for the referrals he’s been getting. Also if the bits are on my price list I posted mention that as well so you get the same prices. He may charge more if the parts aren’t as clean and presentable as mine usually are. Or he may not, never really asked.
That’s great thanks Ken. Stupid question - what prep do you do before sending parts to him? Do you manually strip the existing paint with your dremel brushes?

Thought I'd mentioned where the ceramic coating was done, it's Camcoat in Warrington. https://www.camcoat.com/

If you want the same finishes as I've had done the gold is CG-Gold/HHC, the Cermakrome is MCX/Burnish/polish and the black is BHK: 1-coat. I've had some silver done as well but don't know the code for that until the new receipt gets issued. Prices I quoted did not inc VAT, so £12 for body and £6 for lid.

Didn't realise there was another process for anodising Ash, Camcoat do a really nice finish called DiamonDyze which is supposed to be the dogs danglies. I'm toying with the idea of having some pistons done in it, if the alloy is ok of course.

On their Instagram page is a picture of my CB1300 wheels I had done in gold the other week.
Thanks for sharing Ken - I’ll get in touch with them as I’ve got a few bits to do.

I got the distinct impression that they didn't want to try as it may somehow contaminate their solution, if so I ain't really fault them as I'm betting it ain't cheap and if it's a big bath there's a lot of solution to replace just to see if it worked or not.  I was willing to risk it but they weren't.
Ken - are you able to share details of the outfit you use for the ceramic coating? That master cylinder looks awesome

As far as I’m aware, all police models left the factory in standard spec / tune. Certainly the CB750P models..
