Morning All,
My 400 engine rebuild is finally getting close to completion - looking forward to hearing it run again !
Having reassembled the head, I unpacked the head gasket from the gasket set to find a small dent on upper surface of the #2 cyl fire ring. It's a small ripple in the metal, and I'm wondering if I should write it off, or if it will be Ok when torqued down ?
Any thoughts please ?
Andy

.......... and I thought you guys were supposed to be good ..... :)
Did attempt a photo this morning, but only had a small compact camera to hand, and it didn't show the dent very well, so thought I'd ask anyway. Given the lack of working crystal balls this morning, I will endeavor to get a decent image up this afternoon for your kind perusal and advice.
In the mean time, I hope you balls start working soon Bitsa.
