Hi All. Don't know if anyone has any tips on this as its driving me mad!
I have a leak from both sides of the cam cover plates. I've tried replacing the O rings and even a little silicon, but nothing seems to be stopping it.
Any other ideas/recommendations would be appreciated.

All done now. Thanks for your help.
Only thing that I may need to do is use a slightly thinner washer under the top yoke nut as there does not seem to be much thread there!

So would I be correct in saying the washer goes on first, then the dust seal, then the bearing?

Right then. I'm in the process of rebuilding my cb550 and I'm just about ready to install the head bearings. I have a set of bearing from All bearings and they come with 2 different thickness spacers. I've read so many post of what thickness to use and where to install the spaces that I'm still none the wiser. Unfortunately I don't have the old races that I can measure and compare. Is there another way of measuring this prior to fitting to make sure I use the correct spacer?
The last thing I want to do is fit one spacer then find out its the incorrect one and have to take it off!!

What the title says, what fork and engine oil would people recommend for a CB550 K3?
If it makes any difference for the fork oil, I weigh around 80kg's
Just looking for some feedback as I've read a lot of different things!

Bikes looking good. Where abouts have you mounted the battery?
It's mounted to the frame, just in front of the pivot for the swingarm.
Congratulations on the new arrival!! Like the bracket. Was that an off the shelf item?

I was wondering if anyone would be able to help me. I'm looking for some parts for my 55o but seem to be struggling. I've checked the usual David silvers etc.
Does anyone know where I can get the following from? UK Based if possible.
- Front wheel bearing rubber seal
- Front wheel bearing retainer
Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for the reply. These are the ones under the valve cover. You have to remove them to get to the head bolts.
Were would you get the head bolts from. Only place i really know is David Silver spares but i cant seem to find them listed.

New to the forum and just in the process of rebuilding my 550 engine.
Does anyone know were to get the cylinder head oil seals from + what nuts are require for the cylinder head itself?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
