Hi All
Assembling 1972 CB175 gear box , gear change drum and came across the ring in the photos
lying on the bench.
i'm assuming it has come from the 175 as i can't think where else it has come from .
I can't find it in my parts book and Trigger has had a look in his micro thingies .
It's .9mm thick and has a small tag to stop it revolving i would think .
Any ideas welcome before i carry on and leave it out .
Cheers Rich

i remember stripping and rebuilding my little TL125 and similar rings were fitted inbetween some of the gears, spacers maybe? i reassembled it exactly as it was and everything worked ok. i dont know if it could be something similar...

I've got something like that on the 250RS but it has two tangs on it. Its a thrust washer and sits next to a needle roller bearing. One tang sits either side of the 'ears' of the circlip and this is what stops it spinning. Might be similar on the 175?

Thanks Guys, My thoughts at first but dia is far to great for any of the shafts

Found it, it is for the crank ;) https://www.cmsnl.com/honda-cb175k6-super-sport-england_model16498/washer-35mm_90452216000/
I did say it was a bearing retainer ;D ;D
