OK, being picky where are the yellow paint marks to show the bolts are tight, except on rear wheel nut which has way too much!

Always select neutral before you stop, a lot of the old Hondas had that complaint when hot

I worked on several twindisced Hondas in the dim past and whilst the standard cylinder will work we always found them a swine to bleed completely or you got a lot of lever movement. I did a lost of piston/seal reasurch at the time and found the GL had the same piston bore on the caliper as the 500/750 (but differant shaped pistons) and working on the priciple that Mr Honda had done the maths for me I used that master, also Girling had just got into that market and Wassells sold me a master super cheap.

I twindisced a 500 back in 76 with one caliper in front and one behind as no 550 front ends were available and i used a GL 1000 master as i could get a Lucas pattern one ( cosmetic second from jal supplier) It worked perfectly but be carefull of big handfulls on very wet roads as you fall off! Got the tee shirt and video for that one

GL 1000 master cylinder and if you get the one with the brake light switch fit the second hose where the hydraulic switch is, if not a double length banjo bolt

There are  only a few reasons for carb overflow,,
Float height incorrect
Bad needle tip/seat
Crack in brass standpipe inside float bowl

Stood that long it will need all the seals changed so a full strip down is on the cards therefore split the chain then remove the cam before trying to turn from the generator end NOT the points end after filling the bores via the plug holes with whichever brew you choose

Trigger, back in late 70's we had a man who subbed for Dowty and he would grind the cam bearings, bore out the towers and make split bronze bushes that were pegged to the towres and caps. This was when we had a standing order with Fowlers for a complete set of cam, towers and folowers which they could only supply every 2 or 3 months so more common to repair

Dont know what trigger would say but i rebuilt many with worse journals way back when and they were OK. By the way the cam does not have to be in a specific position to undo or tighten the sproket bolts, you can turn the engine between bolts but before you replace followers and pivots

You cant always swop the shrouds from one shock to another, depends on the retaining collars

3% duty then add together cost+duty+postage then add 20% Vat and on top of that £11 to the post office for passing on the money from you to HMRC
