Tricks & Tips / Honda Britain
« on: April 17, 2012, 01:43:26 PM »
Hi,

I am rebuilding my newly aquired Honda Britain, my question is are there better options for head stock & steering stem bearings and does anyone have a part type or number.
I am unsure about the loose ball bearing type thought they obviously work, but I would like to improve if I can use a more modern approach to the ball bearing type.
Cheers

Hi All,

I have stripped my PRR and am in the process or restoration I am looking at having the wheels repainted so I need to remove rivets, is this something that is right to do as painting in situ just won't work.

Can any one advise on what type of rivets are used and where I can obtain some, Help much appreciated.

Hi All,

I am stripping the forks down and measured tubes to be 35mm x 585mm long (approx), I need to have them replated or replaced.

I have seen a set on Ebay for CB750 SOHC but they state they are 35mm x 605mm long. Can anyone advise me please if this could be the case or have they misprinted?
Unable to get answer may be on holl Bank Holls. Item number 220859912205 :-[

Cheers

Hello To All,

I have just joined forum, as I have recently purchased a 750 sohc Honda Britain, I am a keen motorcyclist and have enjoyed the benefits from being a member of other forums related to bikes I have owned and bikes I currently run.

I live up on Scottish/English Borders, I have completely stripped my Honda down for restoration, sadly some parts missing, seller forgot to mention!! My first plan is to restore rolling chassis and then later on to engine, mind I am good with stripping down the bike and rebuilding it but I have never stripped or rebuilt a motor.
