Title: Hello
Post by: casperdog on May 03, 2019, 02:06:52 PM
Hi, I've been on the .net site for a while and only just realized there was a UK version.
I bought a CB750k5 late last year and currently in the process of a light restoration. It was a non runner but after cleaning the carbs, sorting the points, a set of plug caps, plugs, new oil and filter etc etc it fired up virtually straight away.
I've fitted new bearing all round and swingarm bushes and after countless hours of scraping, cleaning and polishing i'm nearly there!
Looking forward to its first outing...
Cheers
Phil.

Welcome to the mad world of the SOHC  ;) Don't they look stubby with no seat or rear end on.

Thanks all, bike is a Canadian import but originally from USA i think.
The photo is a few weeks old, now got all back end on and seat pan.
Got a shiney new set of pipes from DSS but i've encountered a few fitting issues with them which hopefully is being resolved. (they're sending me another upper right).
I've shaped the foam from the armchair seat that it came with, and i intend to try and fit a K1 cover which i prefer the look of.
The only thing i need now is an original left hand side panel (if anyone has one for sale???) and a paint job when i've finished.
Cheers
Phil

Get a side panel from LPM, good quality and more flexible than originals. They supply DS and others.

Hi Phil, welcome to the forum.
I had the same problem with DS exhaust set, upper right silencer would not pass the brake pedal pivot, Fedex collected the whole set, DS sent another set with the same result, they had seventeen sets in stock which they then withdrew from sale only to later relist at a reduced price stating that they required modifying to fit, i received a full refund and ordered a set from CMS, they fitted correctly.
