Good day Everyone -
Looking for some advice with the installation of the rear brake return spring I removed a year and a half ago... and of course, I can't remember the proper way to fit it. I tried site searches at sohc4.net and here and what I found appears to conflict with what I think I see in the manual.
This is the only picture I could find in the Honda shop manual (bottom RHS):

The posting returned from my site search had this written description:
There are 2 hooks on the spring, with the spring around the brake axle the large hook goes on the frame pipe supporting the saddle, the small one hooks on the lug that pulls the brake rod, in front of the lug to pull the rearbrake switch.
This photograph was posted by another member later in the thread:

Can anyone tell me which - if either - is correct?
Thanks and Regards,
Brian

Mine is the same as both the last pic in your post and the photo that Peter has posted.

Right, then! It's off to the garage ;D. Thank you kindly!

Mine is the same too.
But .... The pic from the shop manual is from the 350F section, so it looks like it was changed for the 400 to be the other side of the frame bracket.

I fed a price of petrol onto the spring to stop it rubbing the frame. But anal I know, but every little helps.

We know what you mean (I think...) but...
