Hi
I'm needing to buy front and rear wheel rims (and spokes) for my CB400 - I see that they are available from David Silver, but wondering if there are any other suppliers that you would recommend.
Many thanks
Steve

Can't recommend any other supplier as we buy all our wheels from Silver which are good and not a bad price either. Spokes from Central Wheel Components.

Thanks Nurse Julie
Can I ask if you use Genuine/OEM/Aftermarket rims? There is quite a price difference between the options!!

Yes, it can be confusing. Its usually the OEM DID rims that we buy for our own bikes, somewhere around the £85 mark. Bought some more about 3 weeks ago for projects of our own we have on the go (Not CB400/4). Hope this helps Steve.

Thanks Julie - very helpful :)

The OEM DID rims that DSS sells (at least for the 750) are identical to the ‘genuine Honda’ ones he sells. the only difference is the Honda ones come with a Honda barcode/part number and packaging.

And both have the horrid scripting around the outside of the rim. He does have some rear ones original D.I.D. NOS without script but around £185 each inc VAT . Rechroming originals is typically £100->120

Nothing wrong with scripted rims, shows that they are original DID and new ;)
