Title: Fleebay USA
Post by: paul G on March 12, 2015, 09:53:51 PM
Not Honda but just found a Z650 exhaust in super condition that I have been looking for ages and did a buy it now. The seller offered int shipping with up front duty paid via eBay. The seller then ended the sale. Can I just say why the hell offer international shipping if you are not willing to do it. Rant over

Paul you may have got off lightly. The ebay international shipper programme (where you pay the 'duty' at checkout) is a complete sham. I bought some K0 carbs earlier in the year and ebay blocked them from being exported, refunded my money and the seller lost out. Apparently the carbs were scrapped....they were a near immaculate set of bloody k0 carbs.....I didn't lose out financially but I was just gutted / infuriated that they scrapped a very rare set of carbs...idiots

James,
Just so frigging annoying. I am willing to pay the shipping costs and import costs for the item so no problem.

Yeah I know it's bloody annoying...one option is to use a package consolidation company like myus.com....but it can get expensive unless you consolidate a lot of parts...

I have contact with a guy near me who imports bikes from the US says he is on the lookout for me.
He can get it strapped to one of the imported bikes so may have to just bide my time.

I've bought stuff on eBay USA and had it shipped to one of the guys on sohc4.net

He shipped it on to me.

If you know anyone on there, just ask them.

Steve

I bought a Zildjian cymbal from ebay USA for £320 + £28 shipping, I got charged £18 by the PO for import/handling before they would hand it over but I still saved £200 on the rip off Britain price of £550 + £9.99 P+P.

I recently bought 4 float valves from an American eBayer, but he cancelled the deal and would not give a reason.

He actually did me a favour though because I eventually got them from Germany cheaper.
