I have used them in the past with excellent results. Would definitely recommend.

They are Bright Zinc plated high tensile (8.8) bolts. 2 for £1.79. Plus i guess 2 nuts and p&p.

CB350/400 / Which Indicators
« on: February 10, 2017, 09:04:06 PM »
Hi. Some advice sort. I have two types of indicator on my 1978 400. Can someone advise me on which is original if any? Also the mounting brackets are different. I believe the short one is original. Any help appreciated.

Thanks Guys. That's a great help, some good information and advice. Will probably be ok for what I want. Basic stuff in my garage so should be good enough. (He said hopefully!!!).  :) :)

Has any got a Castolin Portable Brazing Kit? If so are they any use? General stuff, not thinking of going into business!

I was looking at these:

Not used them, don't know what the prices are like, but if you've got no choice it may be worth a call.

Thanks Ash. Like the look of the finished parts. Will try mine using your process. Just one question about springs, how well do they coat considering the spirals are touching?

Thanks All. Yes registered in UK in 1978. Engine and frame numbers match UK bike.  V5 states F2. Couple of pics attached.

Thanks Julie :). Yes, considering zinc coating but not sure if the threads would be any use after being coated. Might try cold spray on the heads and see what it looks like.

Hi. Just bought a CB400 40 years after my first. Looks good from a distance but needs lots of work. Might be my memory but there are a couple of odd things about the bike. It's an F2 but is blue, may have been changed, can't remember whether the F2 was available in red or blue. UK engine and frame but the front indicators are mounted high (European bracket?). Anyway just started would be interested in following others who are restoring the 400.
