The 400 tended to get white marks and the 500/550 black ones. Those are really clear John. Can't mistake those.
The 400s are hard enough to see after 40 years, I guess the 500/550 must be nigh on impossible,

This is a good example. More often very difficult to see.

Like these markings in yellow Dom. Ignore the red marks. [ Guests cannot view attachments ]

As far as I can remember early 400s had round end with tommy bar hole, my 75 has, later with hex head which my 78 has, according to my parts book the rear spindle changed at frame number 1065686 but no indication as to which spindle. I have three front spindles, and all have the hole, the parts book doesn’t show that there was a change in front spindle. All BZP.

Yes I'll take both Ken, thanks. Like you say I can cut the thicker one down to 10mm. I'll probaly clean them up and plate them anyway.

I do have a CB200 as well. Don't remember you coming round. Having said that there's a lot I don't seem to remember now a days.

Hi Ken, very kind of you to offer to drop them off. However, I'm on the other side of Northwich from you, so I guess it would take about an hour diversion to drop them off on your way to Swettenham. If you do have two nuts, it would probably be best posted if that’s ok?

Thanks Athame. Can't do any lifting etc so may as well deal with the small stuff.

Hi Ken. Not going anywhere at the moment. Ended up in A&E, problem with my heart so grounded. Just pottering in my shed until I go back and find out what's going on.

Has anyone got the following that they feel they can part with? 94001-12200 Hex nut 12mm with 17mm head x 2
They are for the rear lower engine mounting bolt, the one the front footrest mounts onto.

Agree, it most probably is an after market part. The PO has put the connector in there as the after market part meant the connectors were male to male and female to female. Not the way I would have done it but was the easiest way to get round the problem.
