Not Honda but just found a Z650 exhaust in super condition that I have been looking for ages and did a buy it now. The seller offered int shipping with up front duty paid via eBay. The seller then ended the sale. Can I just say why the hell offer international shipping if you are not willing to do it. Rant over

Hi all,
I think it was Bitsa who was talking about Diesel motor oil for the SOHC bikes a few weeks ago.
The brand in question was the Tesco own brand, I cannot get hold of this at any of my local stores.
The question is will any decent brand 10/40W MINERAL diesel oil be ok I have found a couple on the net with free delivery.
How about this one Triple QX 10/40W mineral diesel motor oil.

Hi all, I am looking for a 400 4 rev counter don't care if it is knackered as I only need the plate out of it with the graphics on it. I am looking to rebuild a set that I have but this bit has gone missing. Anyone have a knackered unit or even just the plate  Regards,

Hi all,
Looking for any tips on balancing the carb's on a CB550 K3.
I have had a stab at it but have a problem. I have all the gauges etc connected up correctly.
The No2 carb has no adjustment on it just 1,3 and 4.
As soon as I get the carb's anywhere close to balancing the engine starts to rev up to the 3k mark.
The idle screw is backed off and the throttle cables have slack in them. New carb to inlet rubbers and clamps, new orings on head to manifold so can't see it being an air leak and surely, this would be an issue all the time.
Any help please.

Hi all, Got a set of these from Silvers for my K3 and the fit was shocking, would not seal with the clamps (also from silvers) so the bike pulling air and taking a long time to settle to idle. I contacted Silvers and they said I had ordered the wrong set and needed another part for the K3 which I duly ordered at full price. Well these are as bad  so my issue is are the rubbers crap or is it the clamps also from silvers which are rubbish. Has anyone else had these problems. I have tried packing between the rubbers and the clamps but still not good and really should not have to do this with new parts. has anyone seen any other clamps that are a good fit. Hi Everyone, A while ago we were in a discussion about how Hammerite was crap now. well if anyone is interested try Simonize tough black, it comes in gloss or satin black. Straight on to metal two coats and I have achieved a superb finish. Highly recommended. Regards,

Hi all,
Just getting the 400 4 ready for the summer, given it a service and thought I would check the timing.
It will time up statically using the buzzer method but on cylinders 2&3 it will not time up using a strobe !!
1&4 no problem 2&3 will not line up with the timing marks.
Any ideas would a defective advance and retard spring affect both.

Hi all, Really on the last legs of the 550 K3 restoration now 4 into 4 going on this weekend. What I need is the tank and side panel badges sorting, anyone know of a company that can restore to original condition. If not what is the best process electroplating and then someone with a fine paintbrush and steady hands. Any suggestions

Hi,
Any help please.
CB550 K3 won't start when cold even with choke. If I give it a quick squirt with easy start it fires up so obviously fuel issue.
With the choke out it tries to fire up but will not run, if I open the throttle at all it just dies.
Runs fine once it has fired up, any ideas before I start pulling the carbs apart and re checking everything over.
I was sure the float levels were ok but could be wrong.
Any help appreciated.
