Hi,
Has anyone got a diagram of where the relevant labels and warning labels go.
I have a rough Idea but don't want to make a mistake and position them wrong.
If not I will probably have to troll through all the pictures.

Hi, quick question which groove does the clip go in, I know it is the third one but is that from the tip or the bottom !!
Looked in the manual but it does not state which it is just says third.

Hi,
On the breather pipes does the one from the head join to the one from the right angle piece on the air filter box (two pieces).
The one from the bottom of the air filter box, does it just sit between the engine and swinging arm.
Has anyone got a cable routing diagram for all the cables. I have one for my 400 4 but would like the same for the 550 K3.

Hi all,
Bit of info if possible, I am now going to be running a F2 engine in my K3.
I have a set of what looks like PD46B carbs with 90 main jets and as far as I can see 42 slow jets.
When I started the bike with the original engine it looked to be running weak.
Can anyone tell me if this set up will be ok, going to look at the float height is it 14.5mm for these carbs.

Hi,
Just starting the rebuild of a spare engine which I bought last week, this is turning out to be a bit of a bargain.
It has had a recent rebuild and re bore with new cam chain guide and tension er.
I don't know how many miles it has covered since the re-bore so going to re ring it.
Been on silvers but not a stock item, there is a set on eBay but it states not suitable for a K3 model, does anyone know the difference between the models.

Hi,
Are the starter motors on the 550 range the same.
I have a problem when starting the bike, it sounds as though some of the teeth are stripped loud grating noise.
Checked the teeth on the starter and the starter gear reduction through the starter motor hole.
All looks ok so just wondering if they are all the same, I fear they are !

Hi all,
Just started the K3 for the first time after restoration. It is running very lean with a motad exhaust does anyone have the jetting for this set up.
Can I lift the needles one notch or does it need re jetting.

Now I thought I was a patciant man until now.
On the headlamp brackets there are two rubbers one at the top and one at the bottom, bottom one no problem.
Top is a different matter, it must go between the fork stantion and the bracket to stop it rattling and seal it.
How the hell do you get it in as I have given up, or am I wrong and it fits differently ?

Hi all,
Started looking for tires for the 550, I would have liked the TT100 replica K81/82 but can't seem to locate them in the quoted size for the bike 325x19 front 375x18 rear. Does anyone know if they are available or any other sizes that will fit on the standard rims without catching on anything.
Are Dunlop Red Arrows still available.

Hi,
Just managed to get the power back to the project and started sorting the wiring out.
Quick question when I turn the ignition on, the front parking light and the rear light come ON is this normal on the model and year !!

Hi All,
Desperately in need of a set of head lamp brackets for a 78 K3. I have a set in for chrome plating but they have rung me to inform me they are no good, one has a pin hole through it and the other badly marked.
Has anyone got a decent pair they would like to sell.
