That looks like a Confederate Wildcat or something very similar. Crazy expensive bikes from America.

Project Board / Re: Doms CB550F1 project« on: May 25, 2024, 02:44:57 PM »I've fitted led indicators to both front and rear of my 550, the two wire rears work perfectly but I'm having a few issues with the fronts, that is they don't work at all. Now I think this is due to their three wire set up, I should mention at this point that I also have a new Koso gauge so therefore an led dash indicator. Am I correct in saying I need to fit diodes and reco figure the current 3 wire configuration? Nice work on the instrument bracket. It looks very professional. 👍 Are the 3 wire front indicators made so that they can be used as daytime running lights (as in USA)? If so you can leave the running light wire disconnected, not used. The other 2 wires would be power from flasher relay and earth. Just need to identify which is which. LED indicators either use a resistor in each indicator wire with the original flasher relay or use an LED electronic flasher relay which doesn't need resistors. 4

Pure copper gasket, yes. Annealing it softens it so seals better when head bolted down.

CB350/400 / Re: Replace Kickstart shaft« on: May 15, 2024, 12:00:13 AM »
First thing to do is remove the kickstart lever from the shaft and inspect the splines. You will quickly tell if the splines are worn on the shaft or the lever knuckle.
If the kickstart lever is u/s a replacement will be hard to find. CB350F levers are slightly different but fit and are easier to find. 8

Probably a silly question, but is the sprocket the same both sides?

CB500/550 / Re: Rear brake hub anchor bar clip 94251-08000« on: May 10, 2024, 05:10:33 PM »Thanks, interestingly the download parts book shows an R clip at the hub end & a split pin at the frame end! That's so you can quickly disconnect the hub end to remove wheel. No need to disturb the frame end. 10

There were some beauties at my local bike meet on Wednesday. Shame about the jacket draped over the Duke.

Misc / Open / Re: Best way to lubricate none O ring bike chains question?« on: May 08, 2024, 04:07:09 PM »
Paraffin is a lot less flammable than petrol. I always used Paraffin in the past, but now I ride less miles I just use aerosol chain cleaner and chain lube.

Misc / Open / Re: Best way to lubricate none O ring bike chains question?« on: May 08, 2024, 01:27:27 PM »Thumbs up for the big flat tin of Putoline chain wax, I use it on my Commando. Yes, always apply lube to the inner run of chain. 👍 Lube applied to outside run of chain just gets flung off easily. Skoti, you make me nervous using petrol to clean chain , then using naked flame on camping stove! 🤔 15
