Hi,
any recommendations for powder coating in Devon / Cornwall? I have the frame, swing arm, head stock, stand etc ready for powder coating.
Also, the mounted items like foot pegs etc, are they just painted satin black which I can prep and paint or should I get these powder coated?
Thanks in advance

Better to do it all and the list is long:
Frame
Swinging arm
Side stand
Bottom yoke
Exhaust brackets
Ignition bracket
Rear indicator mounts ( UK )
Seat lock bracket
Tail light bracket ( UK )
Top yoke
Clock mounting bracket
Front foot pegs
Front foot peg mounting brackets
Centre stand
Pilot light mount
Battery box
Rear engine mounting plate
Front engine mounting plates
Seat pan
Seat hinge bracket
Electrical plate for sub loom
Rear foot peg brackets
And that is on a 500 four UK ;)

Good list Graham, spend a few minutes looking at it to see if I could add anything as I'm getting the stuff for my 500 ready for the powder coaters and thought of these.
C shaped mainstand bracket for spring.
Rear foot pegs themselves minus rubbers
Brake caliper
Brake disc mounting plate
C shaped mainstand bracket for spring.
Rear foot pegs themselves minus rubbers, were BZP ;)
I would not have a caliper powder coated and not sure what you mean by brake disc mounting plate ? The disc is mounted to the hub ;)

Is the plate for the electrics black or zinc?

The rear pegs had round ends and the 500 were square ;)
If you use silicone brake fluid, you will have no problem with paint ;) ;)

Black passivate makes sense.
You can just about make out a colour under the crud

Never found anyone in the UK to do Black passivate, that is why I just paint them ;)

I have a mate who has olive and black passivate..
I all I need to do is get my platers to zinc my parts and not put any clear on then get them over to my pals asap and dip them...
Shouldn't be to bad as he is only about 15mins from the platers......or just paint it.?

Thanks for the list, I admit I was thinking of painting the likes of foot pegs etc.
I have found a place http://www.wingspowdercoating.co.uk/ not to far from me.
I might give them a try.

Always ask to see a sample of there blacks on a bit of metal as, I had some frames done in Castleford once that the powder coater said was satin black but, it came out matt black ???
