Title: The final steps! About to install exhausts on my CB750k6. Any tips?
Post by: Phil9886 on July 14, 2020, 10:32:18 AM
Hi. I'm at the very end of my K6 project (10yrs!) And about to install the exhausts. I bought a brand new set of factory pipes from Honda when I first bought the bike plus a fitting kit from David Silver Spares (all Honda bits but they put everything in one bag). See photos. Everyone has been so helpful as I've put this together I just so here's if there are any "top tips" or things to be careful of before / as I install.  I guess they are worth quite a bit now so don't want to mess them up. Any help much appreciated as ever. Phil

Just fit everything loosely to start with to give you jiggle room so you can align everything prior to final tightening.

as Julie says above - I've recently refitted the exhausts on my K1 and I fitted one complete side at a time (to use as a guide) starting with in the inner pipe (2 or 3) and don't forget to fit the clip to the rubber joining piece before you tighten it all, up as I did...... ::)
