Title: Air screw CB750K6
Post by: Phil9886 on July 25, 2020, 06:26:48 PM
Quick question regarding the correct setting for the air screws on a standard UK CB750K6. Bike starts and runs perfectly with the screws 1 turn out. But have read somewhere that they should be 1.75 turns out? Could someone let me know the correct setting? Also, does the engine run richer or leaner as the screw is wound out?

The mixture becomes weaker as you undo the screw, richer as you screw it in. Sounds to be a little rich being only one turn out

Over on SOHC/4 web site you could download the official Honda PDF manual.

My CB750F1 air screw settings are recommended at 1 turn out + or - 3/8,  but 3/4 turns out works best for me and gives a smooth idle at 900rpm.

Some K model air screw settings are 1 turn out + or - 1/8.

Hope this helps.

I'm sure we have all manuals in this forums Alladins Cave as well.

Julie,

thanks for that, I've been on this site for 9 years and never thought to venture into Aladdin's cave.

Fantastic wealth of information!
