Hi. Sorry I thought I'd replied to your message but looks like I didn't hit "send". I would be interested in a RHS switch unit. The idea of the restoration is to make it as near to "as new" as possible - so if you had one either NOS or in very good condition I'd be interested. Just to remind you it's a 1976 UK K6. By the way, I found some K6 UK bars and now have the cables running through the bars. Thanks for helping with that. Cheers. Phil

Hi. Apologies - I just saw your reply. I don't have the original start switch and the one I've got is the version with the cable running outside the bars. If you have an original UK K6 start switch unit in good condition then I'd be interested. Thanks.  Phil

Well I have realised I've got the same issue on the other side - the starter switch. The switch is fine and works - but cable is routed outside. I guess the guy before needed new bars and fitted the wrong ones - and then had to sort out the cables. If you had a NOS starter switch for a UK K6 I'd be interested. Cheers. Phil

Great. I had it on a "wish list" on CSMNL for some time and it came up recently. Good to know it's UK. You had me worried for a bit. Really appreciate the help. Kind regards. Phil

Looks beautiful. Mine the same colour. Should be on the road in a few weeks and I can't wait. Just about to unbox the Honda exhaust system plus fitting kit I bought new from Honda about 10 years ago! That is quite exciting in itself!
Picture attached of the new switchgear

They are being sold as replacement bars for the English version of the K6 (mine is registered in the UK with the black rear light mount).  So I think they should be OK.

Thanks. That's been extremely helpful. I've found some new K6 bars on CSMNL with the holes in.  Without realising that I'd have probably ended up cutting another slot in the switchgear. Thanks again.

Great. Thanks. So is it possible to drill two holes in the handlebars to give an entry and exit point?  Looks like I have non standard bars too.

Hi. I'm nearing the end of my CB750K6 restoration and needed to replace the LHS switch unit (indicators). It's a brand new unit from CMSNL - but I can't see anywhere for the cables to go as they come out of the unit. They exit from the same hole the handlebars should locate into - so there is no way there is room for the switch to clamp shut around the bars. On the old switch looks like someone has cut a slot with a hacksaw to give the cables space to exit. But seems very strange to have to do that for a brand new part. Am I missing something?

That's really helpful. The bike is a rolling chassis now so the last method will probably be the one I go for. Thanks again. Kind regards. Phil

Thanks everyone for the help. What a great forum! I'm at the end of a restoration that's taken 10 years with most parts bought brand new from CMSNL and David Silver Spares. I'm at the point of putting the engine in the frame so will be asking advice on how best to do that soon. How do you get something that heavy in the frame without damaging it? ! Thanks again. Phil

Hi. Does anyone have a photo of a UK K6 frame name plate?  The frame number is stamped on the frame but the plate is missing (left off after a re-spray). I can get hold of a USA version but that references Federal Law - or did the UK K6 have the same name plate as the USA version? Thanks. Phil
