« on: November 29, 2017, 05:57:58 PM »
I've just totaled up what I've spent so far and I haven't even started putting the bike back together, £3220 and I still have an exhaust system and all of the tyres chains brake pads ect. It soon mounts up. [ Guests cannot view attachments ] [ Guests cannot view attachments ] [ Guests cannot view attachments ] [ Guests cannot view attachments ]

Hi thanks with the reply with the order details but I cant see how the order for spokes is 2 of the same as the front wheel spokes are about 2 inches longer as the rear wheel has drums.

CB350/400 / Wheels, rims spokes

, I am looking for stainless steel rims and spokes to relace my wheels, I got my spokes for my GT750 from Central wheels in the past no problems, I phoned up today to order wheel rims and spokes and some advice and got a girl on the other end of the phone who was the most unhelpful person in the Universe she wasn't willing to deal with me unless I supplied all of the details about rim sizes, spokes hubs, I said I thought you were the wheel experts and would be able to supply all of the parts for a standard 1976 Honda 400 four, needless to say I am now wanting to take my business elsewhere. I have had a look and a company Devon wheels comes recommended but their polished rim is quite expensive at £145 they do a standard stainless rim at £75 has anyone used them for wheels or could they recommend anyone else. Finally would I better be biting the bullet and buying from Central.

CB350/400 / Rebore

I have got a new set of barrels that need rebored, I have ordered .5 oversize pistons, today I went to see a local machine shop and he quoted me £50 per bore for rebore and honing is this the normal price that I should expect to pay for this job.

New Member Introductions / Hello
« on: August 01, 2017, 05:24:31 PM »
Hello I have joined your forum as I have a cb400f that I am going to restore over the winter, I have done a bike every year or the past 4 years and my 2 favourites which I have kept are my Kawasaki H1B and my Suzuki Gt750A. I had a 4/4 when I was 17 back in 1982 but sold it to get a Z650 as in those days speed and having the biggest bike was most important. I at the moment also have a Triumph Rocket 3 which I have had for 4 years though I am probably more suited for the Honda at 5 foot 6. I live in Glasgow so many good roads just outside the cityI look forward to getting involved in the forum as I have been an active member on several bike forums over the years.
