Honda-SOHC

I feel like over two days i took over the forum and I can not express how happy I am with all the comments and suggestions, thank you all very much!
Here we go another issue...
How should i fix this?
First picture is of rectifier and not sure if you can see it but on the red cable there is a hole burned from inside plus a weird white "dust" it doesnt look like DS or wemoto sell this kind of cables/connectors, do I have to buy new regulator/rectifier or can i try to take cables off and clean them.
Second picture is of a positive cable which fix to the battery, think it desperatly needs replacing... I was browsing the forum and still have not idea what kind of cable should i get to replace it. I'm thinking this should do the trick :

Pictured is positive cable but the negative looks similar and I think think it is to blame form my bikes poor charging and general miss behaving.

Any suggestions?

After successful rebuild of carbs, thanks to this forum (and usa one too), I finally started to sort my bike properly, thought first check and adjust tappets, and while un screwing locknut I managed to brake tappet.
Now, to fix that I have to drill a hole and unscrew remaining bit, my problem is that it seems impossible to drill a straight hole on a angle...
Another thing is after close inspection of a tappet it surface seems very uneven, is this "normal", should I replace them all?
Any advice much appreciated.

Hello every one!
I'm in N16 London, bought a CB550 77 in a sorry state earlier this year.
Attempting to get it on the road with no luck so far 

Got half of a garage so finally a place to work on it.
I' going to stick cleaned carbs back in next week, what this space...

I'm on the look out for a bits form air box at the moment...

Any one from around? Would love to see running CB
