merry christmas and happy new year to all,
Can anyone help please, I have romoved faulty electronic ign from my 400/4, got new back plate set from DS, came to fit it yesterday, and found cam was missing off the spark advancer, I assume it must have been removed by PO, when elec ign was fitted, it seems that they are no longer available, either from DS, or CMNSL, so for the moment I'm Stumped, has anyone got a spare to sell, or know of anywhere else to try and get one ?

I stripped a 400/4 motor a while back, I cann't recall if I sold the advancer or if it's the same as my cb550 ones and got added to the spares pile, If they are the same I have several cb500/550 ones and could spare one. Someone here may well have the know how to say if the part numbers are the same...........

I believe that the 350/400/500/550/750 are all the same. I've certainly used a mix of 500/550 in the past (same reason)

I know the 500/550/750 will all interchange physicaly but have slightly different springs to give different advance curves----after 30+ years all the springs will be worn anyway so give one a try.
