Can someone with the knowledge or a 400 tell me the overall length of the bike as I'm trying to work out if one will fit in my van.
Can only find wheelbase stats elsewhere.
Thanks, Peter

Just a tad under 7ft Peter
-
Owner's Handbook gives Overall Length as 2040mm (80.3") and also gives figures of 2035mm for UK type and 2075mm for European type.

Oh well that's that then, need to hire a bigger van! Thanks for the swift answers. Peter

You could always drop the wheel and forks out Peter

I don't fancy emptying my van anyway, hang the expense

If you buy a 400/4 anywhere near us, we can pick it up in the box trailer for you.

That's a kind offer thank you, I'm looking at the Midlands at the moment

I had an original Peugeot expert, so smalish? 400 fitted fine.

Take the front wheel off and itll probably fit or hire a trailer if you have a towbar

No towbar so trailer out. I would like to think it'll fit with the front wheel out but without a bike to look at and measure it's a tough call. I'm looking at one 120 miles away so a long way to go for a wasted trip it it don't fit :-[
Thanks for the input guys. Peter

Il measure mine and give you an idea.gimme 5 mins
Without the front wheel
-
1800mm long,1050 high.
Take the mirrors off too to gain a bit
-
That's very good of you.
Ooooh, it's tight, I've just about got 1800 at diagonals. Might have to take the bars off too ::)
Just to confirm, that's 1800 from the edge of the rear tyre to the foremost part of the forks?

Yea,take loads of spanners and a good socket set.You may have to take off the front mudguard to save damage.theyre bloody dear
-
That's great thank you very much.
Tools aren't a problem. Just re-checked for height and got 1200 so at least that won't be a problem.
Thanks again.
