Hi Folks,
CB750 F1.
Just a few questions about hooking up my battery if you dont mind ??
Am i right in saying that the
the battery cable from the engine goes to the starter solenoid which side the solenoid is not marked ??
Then the short battery cable (positive) which connects to the loom goes to the other connection on solenoid ??
Then the frame ground goes to the negitive on the battery ??
What goes onto the positive on the battery ??
Cheers Stuart

there should be a heavy cable from the pos terminal of the battery to the other terminal on the solenoid, when you press the starter switch the solenoid is energised so making the connection between the battery and starter motor. the cable from the loom supplies normal current for ignition, lights etc.

Cheers I must be missing a cable I only have the starter cable from the engine to solenoid, the short cable to the loom and solenoid and the negitive to frame (big terminal lug) I must be missing the positive from battery to solenoid ???
Cheers

Yeah my solenoid is under my seat now along with everything else !!!
Is it a easy job to remove the starter motor ???
I can easy cut the earth neg cable and put a smaller lug on it I've got a place in mind for mounting it

The earth lead goes to an engine mount, where incidentaly the paint is removed from both sides, so that the large starter current has an appropriate sized cable.
I have seen looms melted when the engine plates have been powder coated or painted and full starter current has passed along the small green wire on the loom
