Title: Side panel badge fixing
Post by: bobv7 on April 21, 2020, 09:56:27 AM
Being a cheapskate I've used these. Pushed a hot wire through the middle then followed up with a 3.2mm drill bit. The adhesive sticks to the inside of the side panel and friction holds onto the badge pins.

I assume they stick to the inside of the panel a lot better than they stick to my cupboard doors.

There’s a reason there’s an aftermarket for these.

49 would probably last me a couple of years.

So are you saying there's maybe a market opportunity there.... I could get 8 sets of 6 from a pack and flog them at a quid a set. Cheaper than DS init! 8)

I thought they were a type of slide on screw fitting for self tappers?

They are exactly the same thin as those that slide down a plastic pin.
Removal is best with sidecutters and use new and the correct pin size has a smaller OD but i havent found that a problem
