You’re correct about the K3 Ken. I will come back tomorrow afternoon with more information. All my records from past sales are in the workshop

Do you mean these?
https://www.vehiclewiringproducts.co.uk/c-56-multipin-connectors/c-155-6-3mm-blade-multi-connectors/p-429-female-blade-with-latch

The strange thing is they show a 2-way connector, but then give the dimensions for an 8-way one, and there is no choice of 2-, 4-, 6-, or 8-way blocks.
Your link shows the 6.3mm metal terminals only which do fit most 2,3,4,6,8 way plastic shells. As before, vehicle wiring products do not stock the OE Japanese plastic shells.

Bought a number of items from vehicle wiring products, but have never stocked the Japanese classic OE 6.3mm latched connectors

The only suppliers are in in USA..silver/grey gloss pvc cable sleeve (6,8,11mm dia). Not found anyone in the UK/Euro that stocks it ?
I do have some black gloss sleeve manufactured for me within the UK (20mm dia), but the minimum order is a 1,000 metres.
Tried many other supplies UK/Euro...it's either heat-shrink or pvc matt finish or thick tube.

The safety starter wiring is also missing from the CB550 sub-loom (Yellow/red & L.Green.red)

No problem, I don't normally keep the CB550F1/2 loom on the shelf, so it would be a week from order when the new harness is dispatched

Far too many insulation colour changes in the DSS loom
Red/white should be Green...frame earth
Green/blue---:---Brown/blue
Blue/white---:---Brown/white
& many other wire colours/connectors are in the wrong position?

Head light shell wiring would be good.

Do you have images of the DSS CB550F1/2 wire harness?

Not sure?, after a few days the insulators cleared up (not totally clear)...but I did use a long cycle on the dishwasher

Last time I cleaned an original loom (CB500K0) in my dishwasher, the connector covers became very opaque (as image)...water temperature or dishwasher tablet could be the problem?

Simon, The bootlace crimp tool (black Handles) are normally used for stator work (as image, Kawasaki S2 new sub-loom) Handy to keep the wires in place, then apply solder to complete the connection, glass fibre sleeve fitted thereafter.

Simon,  as mentioned, providing that you do some trial/error work before hand, you should be able to satisfy yourself as to what crimp tool/terminals work best for you. Cable sizes would also be a factor, Clive mentioned that doubling over 1.00mm wire within the terminals helps to provide a satisfactory crimped connection, of which I agree. I mainly use 2.00mm thin-wall insulated cable on most of my looms, it helps to minimise volt-drop and the overall thickness of the harness is no different to the OE harness.  Recently replaced the OE loom on my XL500s (6 volt system) due to poor indicator & brake lighting to one of my replica looms with 2.00mm thin-wall...it made a big difference to the lighting brightness,
