Hi Anders

I think www.cmsnl.com have the answer

RED emblem K1 model (England) part No. 87127 300 405
Gold emblem K6 model (England) part No. 87127 341 000

David Silver Spares show all the side emblems in RED all models K1,K2,(K3,K4,K5 American)&K6. The American models are a definite yellow/orange (gold ground in Wing badge) as quoted, the K2 & K6 are more or less yellow/orange. Do the Red & Gold emblems have different part numbers?

Hi Anders,

I do not have a K6, but I do have a K4. Anyhow I had  a look in the Haynes great bike series  'Honda CB750 by Mike Duckworth' from the photo of the K6 on page 73, the emblem is a yellow/orange colour almost similar to the indicators.
There is also a photo on page 55 of a K1 (1970/71) with a red emblem colour similar to the rear stop light
All other photos K2,3,4,5&6 have yellow/orange emblems

Hi Bob,

www.cmsnl.com very good, but the p&p and 19% vat is a problem! ask about the p&p before your order

Thanks in advance

Hi Jonny,

I belong to the latter catagory, I'm 52 after a 20+ year break from motorcycling I still nod to all 2 wheel users, some nod back some don't, but on a sunny day...what the hell.

Did you also replace the needle jets? sounds as if the machine is running too lean. Had a similar problem with my K4, re-built the carbs with Keyster kits, but had to order 105 jets and needdle jets from Dave Silver to solve the problem.
I have assummed every thing on your bike is standard spec.

From your numbers you have a K2 frame and a K7 engine.

Try www.rk-leighton.co.uk  motor cycle seat cover service. I recovered my CB750 seat they provided the chrome/pvc trim that fits and grips the bottom edge of the seat, together with the chrome buckles for the passenger strap

Thanks for the reply Peter, Steve is correct that the mention is in the May 2009 edition
(CB 400F) rebuild. I had seen a feature last year of someone that re-builds clocks...must trawl though passed issues to find the article.

I read the feature in classic motorcycle mechanics last year, have looked at the May 2008 edition and was unable to find it...have I missed the page or is the feature in another month?
Do you have a web site? as I would like my CB750 clocks refurbished after the summer
