Hi all my 550 K1 is a dual fuel hose type and my original tap leaked despite my best efforts to fix it, i got a repo from 4into1.com and that did the same so i have taken my 400 single outlet tap and put it on and split the pipes . it starts and idles but cant test ride as not registered yet , obviously one hose is full & one reserve but this way the fuel will go down both pipes , has anyone else done this and will it work or not .
Thanks in advance ,dave

BOTH outlets are both main and reserve, why get parts from US when its same as 750 and still available?
-
AH didnt know that , which 750 version is it that has dual outlet with a 20mm nut , cheers Bryan
-
yea new tap came with washer but its leaking from the outlet tubes in the off position , i dont mind using a single outlet but i need to know if its ok or not .
Cheers

Inside the tap is a rubber washer which is new , and a cone shape with 2 holes all looks good but new and old one leaks , will a single tap work OK .
-
simple answer to your original question, yes it will work, my f2 has a single outlet into a splitter as standard.

I thought the K1 550 had the tap held on with 2 screws not the one that screwed onto a boss. The boss type was not on 750 till the F1 i believe and then a different size. I do know the 550 had 2 different thread sizes depending on year but also the only difference on 500 tank is the paint job.

The 500 K1 had two screws but, the 550 K1 had the nut type boss ;)

I was going off the 550's i bought from Silver. Must have had the tanks changed, i know they wernt standard colours

I will be looking to get another tank eventually anyway when I can find a good one as this one has had bad repairs on the underside in past, so I will be looking at a 500 or a 550 tank
