Title: Famous SOHCs
Post by: K2-K6 on November 17, 2014, 07:15:25 PM
Was looking through some utube clips t'other day and found one of sid vicious doing "c'mon everybody" an eddie cochran track, he is though on a SOHC. One shot looks like a twin (250/350) but one looks like he starts on maybe a 500/4 but you only get to see half of it so can't be sure.
Anyone else seen it?

Yes, but on tv at the time (late 70's) and it certainly looked like a 500/4 I seem to recall:))

It's a twin with painted ears and a chrome cable bracket. CB350 ;)

I'm amazed Hairygit that you remember that from the tv, I never saw it then just the other day.
There seem to be two different clips, one where he "rides" the twin but I couldn't see on the other one if that was the twin also.

It was Eddie Cochran I was searching and didn't realise so many covers existed, one of the best ones was Led-Zep doing two covers (something else being one of them) in 1970. I thought this was just brilliant with big hair, flares and big attitude.....been indoctrinating my kids with it since I found it.

I remember it because my best mate had a 500/4 at the time, with that very 70's thing of a mural custom sprayed on the top of the tank, of the album cover from Whitesnake's "Come and get it" L.P.  Looked really goid, but would be frowned upon nowadays!:))

Looks like a different bike at the end. Like a Suzuki TS or summit.

That's the one that I can see it was definitely the twin Trigger, didn't spot that at the end Lester, it does look like a TS.

There is also another clip that is very different that I thought was a 500 but still not sure. I haven't got the link on the computer I'm on now will have to find it again.

I will agree with Trigger on this one.  I had a CB350 (old photo attached) late 70s. Long chrome rear mud guard...They may have taken the number plate off for filming?
