Hi Trigger, found this yesterday, what great write up of what I would call a very difficult proposition doing the bike for £1K. I notice that you are building up the motor in the frame is this something that I could do with my CB750 K3 or do I have to wrestle with the engine putting it back. Anyway keep with the posting its great to read how it should be done. ;) ;) ;) ;)

Thanks Trigger, are all the carbs the same for the K1-K6 with different jetting as all the ones on eBay are 064A and mine are 657A.

CB750 / Damaged carb

Hi all, stripped the carbs (657A LB designation) today to find that no1 was badly damaged with a crack on the air side. As soon as I touched it off it came in my hand   :(   Could anybody tell me if no1 is the same as no3. Also my bike being a K3 is this carb the same as K1-K6, I have seen a few on Ebay but they look pretty rough but once vapour blasted and cleaned should look okay. Anybody got a spare they don't need and would like to be free of or could recommend the best place to source a new or used body. Or would the body still be useable with this piece missing as the rubber still clamps securely. See picture.

Great news Oddjob really pleased you have some in stock as the only thing I could think of was getting a pair made which would have been heinously expensive. You have made my day  :D :D  Thanks to all the others for their input, still upset about the result of the rugby but hey ho I'm am England fan so very used the the ups and downs. I have sent a PM with address.

CB750 / Seat trim ends
« on: February 01, 2020, 02:48:04 PM »
Hi there
Looking for a couple of trim ends for my seat off my K3. Ordered the plastic silver trim from Silvers but need the ends to finish it off.
CMS show the ends and call them trim garnish but not in stock, checked all the other suspects but nobody seems to stock anything.

CB750 / Re: Side cover emblems K3
« on: January 17, 2020, 11:22:12 PM »
Thanks for the replies,
The problem is I wasn't sure if the panels were correct or not, as when the 750 four K3 emblem is fitted there is a gap when you look down the panel. The 750 four emblems came with the bike so looks like the problem is with the emblems.
Thanks for the info on the wings its a great help as I can now order them from CMS but not sure why there is such a difference in price from left to right though.
Thanks

CB750 / Side cover emblems K3
« on: January 17, 2020, 07:22:31 PM »
Hi all new here so be kind....
Just got my CB750 K3 and want it back to an original colour. The colour I like is  flake sunrise orange. I would like help with the side covers they have been filled where the recess should be for the emblems. The only new covers I can find have the recesses for both emblems the wing and the 750 four which would not be the correct emblem. So my problem is should I stick with the original 750 four emblem or change to the earlier one that sits in the recess not on top. Also what should the colour of the Honda wing be gold or red? Check out the crazy paint job ;D ;D ;D

Thanks for the replies guys, still not got my bike as the delivery guys been really busy over the Christmas break. Hoping to get her on Sunday morning so will post a couple of pictures. I bought the best bike I could afford and it comes with a mint 341 exhaust which has to be the best bit. I'm planning to ride her for a couple of weeks as she isn't a basket case and try to figure out what all the problems are. Already started a spread sheet for the parts I think I will need and its pretty scary by hey ho here we go. Can't wait to get started  ;D

New Member Introductions / New guy

Hi All
An introduction from a new guy. Just bought a Honda CB750 K3 for restoration from a really nice guy in Yeovil. Been restoring BMW's for past 3 years but decided to get back to my roots with the CB. First bike was a Honda CB125 twin a derestricted 125 but really lusted after a 750 so here we go. I think I'm going to need lots of help on this one. Added a couple of pics of the BM's first was a R60/5 twin and second a R26 single. Iam retired and based in Cumbria. I will keep everybody in touch with the build as I go along and looking forwards to all your comments.
Thanks guys,
Steve
