CB350/400 / Re: Powder coat Engine parts
« on: February 26, 2018, 03:42:19 PM »
I have My engine stripped down and I am wondering what to do with the crank cases, I am going to polish the outer casings, I know that's not the way they were done originally they were painted, but I like shiny things. My question is has anyone ever powder coated their crank cases, I have a guy who has done all of my powder coating for years and he is very good. I am wary about getting the crankcases done and also I would need to match the colour when I was painting the top end of the engine, I would be grateful for some input.
Powder coated crankcases and whole top end on a race engine years back. No issues.

Include me in.

Free rides on trams are all very well, but I want a go in that Tardis, I watched it all day last year and it never went anywhere. I think they only use it when they need spares for the trams (we could stow away on board with a parts list or two).

Could load the CL up on the Tardis for future completion..... or will it be done by then for you to show off? ;)

Hi,

Just had an email through about this years event on the 1st July.

Last year went down well with those who went I think. Personally now when I read many posts, I can relate to them more - knowing the "character"** behind it. (**substitute a word of your choice!).

This years brochure accompanying below. Who's in then?

Let you know more when I receive further info.

Not exactly a clutch cable but the largest one I have done was the ends on a 36mm diiameter rope 5 miles long weighing 44 tons for a mine in South Africa.
That's just showing off! ;)

As for felt,  I washed "her indoors" favourite merino wool jumper either too hot or dryer too fast  :-[  that's now only suitable for  felt washers. Was I in the dog house for that one. ;D

That's ironic, did exactly that this weekend thinking I was helping my poorly wife. Now where are those carbs.... ::)
