First:
CB125S (Blue) - I loved that bike but had to swap it for something bigger to handle the Bedford - Brighton trips when I went to Uni (bought a CB175)

Worst:
Shared a CB250G5 with my room-mate at Uni. It was a dog. Spent more time in bits than running, devoured pistons and rings, handled like a dog (when it was running)

Pop over to www.sohc4.net/forums

There's a FAQ with loads of parts sources (and about 6000 members in the USA who would be happy to help)

Go here and select "Vehicle Enquiry"

You need the reg number only.

My old 500/4 was last taxed in 2002 so it must be:
a) dead and buried, or
b) SORNed and in a barn somewhere

Welcome to the club!

Allbike are my "local" spares and engineering emporium (ie they know Hinckley Triumphs inside out and are withing walking distance of my son's flat in Greenwich).

Where are you?
Put your location in your profile so that we can see it and won't keep asking  :)

My PRR had the same problem. The MOT tester looked inside the fairing, saw the way that the lamps were mounted, shrugged and carried on!

My 550F2 has a folding R/H footrest to allow you to use the kickstart.

We all used 4.25/85 in the 70's coz we were obsessed with tyre widths too!

The bigger the better!  (we were young...)

These guys state that the last sandcast engine was 1007414 so looks like you are either in the money, or faced with a horrendously expensive restoration!

Given the inside diameter of the hose, any decent car parts shop should be able to sell you a couple of feet of it.

They're good for fuel pipe to!

Steve

PS: welcome by the way.

Sounds like a quick-action throttle then!

We spent money back in the 70's on special quick-action throttles that basically replaced the handgrip with one of a larger diameter - it was the only way around the "two handfuls of throttle" issue.
