That's a 550 tank Drew.

Here's a 400/4 tank (for comparison)

Might have a use for that, how wide is the channel down the centre, and how long is the tank overall (roughly)

is there any difference betweeen the 550 tanks,

ie would it fit a 550 k3 , is a supersport model different fitment ?

ps if phil needs it please give him first choice i am only experimenting with paint

Looks like a 550/k3 tank to me, I have a spare that's pinholed and didn't seal with petseal that could be used as a paint targett. Would seem a bit of a waste if the results came out well though, on a cruddy tank.....

That's just the sort of thing that would happen to me, test piece comes out beautiful and you can never replicate it on the real thing...   :(

If that's the original paint I think it's an F1 tank. The F2 had stripes on similar to the 400 F2 tank shown above.

how different is that to a 750 F1/2 tank the fittings look remarkably similar

Not sure about fittings on the 750.

Worth a chance?

I'm interested so long as it doesn't leak!!

Do you still have the tank & if so, can I have it for my Parts Bin Special?  as I don't have a tank at all at present.

Cheers!

Sorry Drew, I should have mentioned that I bagged a very nice tank on ebay a couple of weeks ago, so not looking at this one now,
