I had one at Meads when i worked there that holed a piston and needed a new generator assembly to cure it which was expensive, balance chain can be a bit of a pain and blocked carbs can be a real nightmare, localy the dealers used to send them away once for ultrasonic and if that didnt work new carbs

The maximum length of the shock is fixed by the length of the damper rod Ted, it can only get shorter as wheel is pushed up then returned by the force of two springs.
As to swapping them remove rear bootrest bolts and you should get enough "wiggle room" to get bolts out

I dont think you can buy it, i remember the operator saying there was a "secret" ingredient.
Look up Mike Brewer and Elvis doing a C reg (first C!!) 850 mini in cream, they did the grill, bumpers, maybe hub caps and other bits

Ted, it wouldnt matter which way round it was connected you would still get a spark as 12v goes in on one contact and comes out on the other
