I would pay a finders fee of £1,000 for info leading to a successful purchase.

For some odd reason that number appears familiar,  I can't quite place it but there's a regular 400/4 that visits Newlands corner, near Guildford,  when the bikes are there  which I seem to have a link in my mind to.

I only usually go there on a Sunday and it's often there parked over the back part of the carpark where all the bikes stop and sits right there for some time, but I've never spoken to the owner.

Could be worth a look to verify,  I'm often there around 12 to 3 in the afternoon if I'm passing.

I jumped the gun there in my mind,  it's obviously not a 400,  so scratch that siting.

The number just seems familiar though,  I'll keep rummaging in the grey jelly that comprises my subconscious storage to try and find why I think it's in there.

You might be half right. I once saw a 550 come up on ebay that had a very similar number to mine, so obviously sold at much the same time. I even messaged the bloke to let him know it must have come from Scooterways in Kensington High Street
