Hi,
New to site, I am thinking of buying 750 either a F1 or F2, I used to own a F2 in 1980 and sold it in 85, I would like to think it is still on the road somewhere.

Welcome
DVLA says your bike was last taxed up to May 1997, so not on the road at the moment, sadly.
Best of luck in your search for another one!

Hi Gary i am considering selling mine, in the spring , I will need to clean out the carbs as it has sat in my garage most of 2013 and the jets seem like they need a clean, the whole bike was rebuilt at a great cost, i doubt if i will get back anywhere near what i spent , i suppose if i ebay it it will find its market value

Yes mick the cull has started, a forum member came over this sunday and bought an old rusty K1 i had kicking arournd, that started the ball rolling, so i have to decide in which order i get rid of them now, i have 3 F2,s so the blue one will be up for sale in the spring, then maybee one of my rickmans, or even both of them then a gpz, then my honda st70, then a klr600, after that i will have a think about the rest

Lovely looking f2 pete - hope you get back as much as you can. I'd say ebay would be the best place to list it with a sensible reserve. Getting funds together to finish the k0? J

Hi James, the silly thing about F1,s and F2,s is they cost just as much to restore as the k,s but sell for less, my f2 has a lot going for it, ie it has all the hard to get original parts, exhaust, front guard, shocks etc and has non of the top end issues that F2,s can develop if thrashed its a good standard example, as for sale price it gets what it gets i will stick it up on a classified add ,no sale means i keep it
i have plenty of other bikes to sell,
Yes you are correct i need funds to finish my K0, but more so to add expensive luxuries to my motorhome which is getting all the money and attention at the moment
