Hi all just taken cam cover off again looks like valves sticking. Do these get any lubrication? the reason I ask is that the channel under the cam is full but the area where the valve springs is dry, is it just splash fed from the cam, can i put some oil in there to lube the valve stems. Iain

I used elastic bands to hold the rockers up as I found a clip on youtube.

No all this had done was head gasket also I have got huge valve clearences. It is not possible to put anything back together wrong is it?

Done it I just ignored the Haynes manual and used some common sense.

Just putting head back on customers 550/4 I am missing the 2 bolts at the front & rear of the timing chain tunnel. Looking in honda4fun manual can't see picture of these but is it part no.21 92000-06045. No stock at David Silver are they just standard 6mm bolts. Thanks Iain

The only mag I buy on occasion is Practical Sport Bikes, glad I did because I saw the add for the show at Haynes motor museum, it was a real eye opener and a trip down memory lane must have seen a dozen or more bikes I have owned in the past. But not one example of my current bike, Kawasaki Zephyr ZR1100. Anyone one else go? Iain

Thanks for that. 3 reasons for joining was at the Japfest at the Haynes Museum on Sunday met a young lady with a nice 550/4 got me thinking about mine so got home and dug out a photo of it and course as I am doing one for a customer I may well need some info. Regards Iain
