Title: rear brake drum repair

hi just wondering has anyone done the rear brake drum repair would you recomend using any loctite if so which one would be best to use

When I did mine I froze the insert, and heated the hub using acetalene whilst it was spinning on the lathe, then used the tailstock to push the two together, on a spare wheel I have that was re lined by someone else they also drilled 3 points along the joint and tapped then inserted grub screws so they were half the diameter into hub and half into liner. I would immagine that required a very stable drilling platform for the drill to go square and not veer off into the soft alloy. Personally I was happy to use the tight fit and heat expansion by themselfs and save a tricky bit of work.
