Title: CB200 Lower Rear Shock Bushes
Post by: Deano400 on September 23, 2021, 08:09:00 PM
Came to remove the lower rear shock bushes from the swing arm and I was surprised that I could just push them out. On other bikes I've had to drill out the rubber and hacksaw the outer shell. The bushes look as though they are original and the swing arm does not look as though it's been messed with, no signs of file marks. Also removing the main swing arm bushes (original plastic ones) was much easier than the 400s I've done.

Has anyone else found this to be the case with the 200?

Just don't want to buy another swing arm and find they are all like that.

TIA

Maybe a previous owner had used bushes from another model.

The bushes I removed are dimensionally the same as the new Honda bushes I have. Looking at them they are the same.

If they are too loose you can either loctite them in or lightly cenerpunch the inside of the hole

Thanks Bryan, I'll probably loctite them.

Oddjob, the old ones are identical in dimension to the new ones (give or take 1/100th of a mm).
