Title: Lessons learnt from my 400 rebuild.
Post by: McCabe-Thiele (Ted) on April 30, 2022, 09:37:10 AM
1.You can never take too many photos during dismantling but not everything might have been correct when you started.
2.Keeping a daily log of work done can help with motivation if your enthusiasm wains.
3. Just as important as photos when dismantling are photos during assembly especially of the parts that are hidden after assembly.
4.Take your time during assembly making sure you check and check again.
5.Don't be afraid to ask questions even if you have to wait a day or two for an answer.
6.A clean work area is a must - dog hairs were my problem.
7.The only person you need to please is you - it's your build.
8.When you complete your first build there will always be something you wish you had done better or differently.
That's the learning curve in action don't let it get to you.
