Oh dear multiple things went sideways. Not a recommendation!!

What could be the risk in using copper washers?

they had an integral flap across the front and if you were not careful, the stream was directed in equal amounts down each leg!

Leaving typical traces of corrosion on the bike

I am located in the Southwest of the Netherlands on the Zeeland peninsula. Also a coastal region. I used to scuba dive because the onderwater world overhere is very beautiful. Lately when the water gets a bit murky I get dizzy instantly. Not very pleasant when 40 feet below the surface because you have to ascend slowly to avoid the bends. So I gave up scuba diving.
Anyway riding a classic bike is far less cumbersome not having to hassle with a lead belt weighing 12 kilo's, a scuba tank and the rest of the equipment.
Nice trip yo are goin to have late may. I have lived in Tilburg, my daughter lives in Eindhoven and I was born 35 km from Aachen. What a coincidence!

Upcoming summer I'll be visiting Scotland and Ireland. If time and weather permits I might as well visit Mainland Orkney with my Beemer.

Very nice bike. I don't think you will have any trouble selling the bike.

Nice looking bike Johnny. And riding in coastal areas is always fun. Even when being charged for a cuppa by the likeminded.

How precise would you expect the speedo to be calibrated? They are not that precise from stock.

The non-conducting part is quite brittle, so blasting is a bit risky.
Assembly with medium Locktite went very well. Quite pleased with the result.

@Steve, can you move the thread to Anorak's corner?

I decided to give it a try myself. I applied some heat from a heatgun untill the "laquer"started to bubble. With special tool I made with a 3D-printer I was able to unscrew the non-conducting part.

Happy with the result. Now i have to do some research as to find a suitable locking agent. Maybe a medium treadlocker...

CB750 / Neutral switch disassembly

Does anyone have experience with disassembling a neutral switch? I would like to zinc plate the steel parts. The non-conducting middle part seems to be locked in place with some kind of laquer.

Always a special moment. Keep an eye on the oil light too. Should turn off quickly
