Looking for ideas on plastic coating the various clips and cable brackets after plating/powder coating.

Pics are before.

Tried http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PLASTIDIP-PLASTI-DIP-PLASTIC-RUBBER-PAINT-SPRAY-CANS-AEROSOL-400ML-BLACK-/261659892514?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item3cec251b22

Sort of works, but needs lots of coats.

It is more like rubber than the soft plastic type finish to match original I am looking for.

For any rubber/plastics specialists, please forgive the non technical description :D

Does any one know how the originals were done?

Thanks

Also available in liquid form which will allow you to dip several times to build up to the depth you want?

Well the Z1, which is an import and NOT one of the original 30/40 UK registered bikes is at an asking price of, wait for it...............£30K which includes a £3K price hike in 10days!!!!!!!!!!!

So I would suspect that all the others in the collection are priced similarly?

So you ring them to find out details about any of the bikes.

However, you cant be put through or talk directly to the 'team' that are dealing with the sale of the bikes. You can only leave your phone No and they will call you back. Well after a day knowbody has bothered to ring back!

Hi Sprinta,

My OEM Owners Manual quotes LBS / Kgs, Inches / mm, and most pointedly ONLY has a wiring diagram for ED Models.... ie 'European Direct'. This diagram includes said pilot (parking) light.

So..I'd have to say "Yes".... various manuals available.

Notably though, nowhere in print does it mention the intended market... other than the header on the wiring diagram...

Hope this helps,
Simon

Hi Simon

Thanks for the treply.

Is it only the ED wiring diagram that shows reference to the pilot light and separate Hi/Lo headlamp switch or does it also have pictures and text reference in the book as well about a Hi/Lo switch on the LH side (separate switch or incorporated in the LH switch), the RH switch with main lights off, pilot, main lights on and also show how to change the pilot bulb? Do the Nomenclature pictures at the front of the book show a UK or US model? US has chrome rear light assy and handrail behind the seat UK has black rear light assy and no hand rail behind the seat? It may have only have been the wiring diagrams they changed for the various territories?

CB750 / K2 Owners manual

Did they produce separate US and UK/European Owners Manuals or just the US based one to cover all territories, 323411, B 4000612, as it would seem that the handlebar switches and the lack of a pilot light are the only operational differences?

CB750 / 750 K2 prices?
« on: October 13, 2014, 12:55:30 PM »
Looking to purchase a blue 750K2 and would appreciate members advice on what is the current price ranges are?

Ideally looking for a UK model that is in good original condition or has been well restored with original sound std exhaust. Failing that one that does not require complete major engine and cycle restoration.

What would you expect to pay for bikes that fall into those categories and how would the prices be reflected if they were an US import?

If anybody has one that they are looking to sell or know where there are any for sale perhaps you can PM me.

Hi Sprinta
There was this one ,http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/261610862685?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT
It is a British bike, don't know what you want to pay,you could contact the seller.
Cheers Rich

Thanks Rich

Have sent seller a message and will see what transpires.

Ideally happy to pay a bit more for one that has been sorted but if the mileage is genuine it should not need much engine work?

Hi ye, Great site here for info.
Just checked DVLA and your old bike is still on the road, tax runs out on Feb 2015.
Just don't get up hopes of finding it, it's a nightmare.
I have some British iron as well.
Good luck getting another 750
Rich

Hi Rich

That it is still on the DVLA is a surprise. After trading it in at Paul Smarts shop one of his mechanics bought it and I was told that it had been stolen? Would be nice to know where it is now, but as you say too much hassle.
