The bumpers are missing on the camchain tensioners ends, I got them here from cmsnl, just waiting for more courage to put them in,
I will have to paint the cover side and stick proper sticker for F2 models, and maybe messing around the carbs to adjust them as she is lazy to drop back to idle rpm when cold (but no problem when hot), and knocking/rattling at cold iddle. There is a bit of oil seeping from  somewhere around the headblock...
I ride her today and she goes lovely! no holes when opening the gas, no smoke, bring her up to 9000rpm with no problem, that a great bike!

And a nice rust hole in the collector, just to make her sound better :)

yep, as soon as the wheather let me do, I shoot pictures of the bike. In france, newbie bikers are limited to 47 bhp, it took me about 4 years to figure out wich bike would fit properly between my smile and my bank account, and that 400 was always on top choice, I'm glad to see it at home!

Hi everyone, i'm 35 years old french, I bought a 77 cb 400 four 6 months ago, 25000km mostly stock.

It's a nice little bike, but the previous owner did very little on it, so I did a big overhaul (thanks to this forum, the us one and the french as well) and replace broken and missing parts with honda parts (david silver, cmsnl :) )
I did a nearly complete tune up (tappets gap, carbs cleaning, brakes, wheel alignment, front shock gaskets, ignition advance and gaps,...)

I just retight the head bolts as gasket have been renew by PO, half a turn was needed, hopefully the oil seepage (dripping?) will magically disappear and the #4 compression will rise a bit. In the same time I unlocked the chain tensionner that was only barely blocked somewhere, and I'm very happy about that :)

a few more to do but the rain stop me for now...

Oh and its my first bike!

Ta everyone!
